They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Road to War on Iran

Belfast Telegraph

Tony Blair has increased the pressure on Syria and Iran by blaming the two countries for stoking the crisis in the Middle East and accusing Tehran of supplying weapons to attack British forces in Iraq.
Mr Blair named Damascus and Tehran as major backers of Hizbollah and suggested that Iran had supplied weapons for attacks on Israel and insurgent attacks on UK troops in Basra. No 10 said weaponry fired at Israel had been assessed as coming from the same source.
The comments came just hours after Margaret Beckett, the Foreign Secretary, spoke of a link between the Lebanese crisis and Iraq in a BBC radio interview. Read more

We posted a link earlier to an interview with Ray McGovern [see below - the interview comes after one with Robert Fisk]. The McGovern interview is worth listening to in the light of current developments, including the item above ....

Ray McGovern - ex CIA - predicts war on Iran
Robert Fisk and Ray McGovern - a former 25 year career CIA analyst - interviewed on Flashpoint radio. McGovern points towards the build-up in anti-Iranian propaganda - from the 'Iranian IED's in Iraq' to the 'Iranian soldiers in Lebanon' and predicts a war on Iran within weeks - conveniently whilst congress is on holiday. Once more Bush will become the 'War Prez' and folks will need to vote for him - otherwise they might pull the rug from under the war effort.
