They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Pakistan: Democracy and Freedom on the march

NDTV

Sixteen opposition parties from Pakistan came together in London over the weekend to sign the Charter of Democracy.

Former Prime Ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were both present. Nawaz Sharif in an exclusive interview to NDTV accused his former general of being a terrorist.

He also said it was alarming that the fate of Pakistan was being determined by a handful of army generals.

"Army generals have harmed Pakistan more than India has. Today we have to decide whether the fate of Pakistan will be decided by a few generals," said Sharif.

The former Prime Minister also said that if the Generals had to continue doing what they liked, then they have to change the Constitution accordingly.

He added that he and Benazir Bhutto will go to Pakistan and that Musharraf had no right to stop them from doing so.

The exiled leader also said that if America was so keen to fight the war on terror, then they should first fight Musharraf. Link
