They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Iraq: Killing kids - it's what they're good at

alertnet: The U.S. military said U.S.-led forces killed seven militants with links to senior al Qaeda leaders in a raid on Monday near the area where Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed last week.

"Coalition forces received enemy machinegun fire from a rooftop upon arriving at the objective...," said a statement.

"Following the assault, coalition troops discovered two children had been killed. One child was wounded and evacuated for treatment," it added.

A senior U.S. military spokesman, Major General William Caldwell, said the gunmen had the children with them on a roof and described the deaths, which included a six-month-old boy and another child, as "extremely unfortunate". Link
