Crude falls after al-Zarqawi 'killed'

FT: Crude oil prices fell by about $1 on Thursday following the announcement that al-Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had been killed in a joint US and Iraqi military raid north of Baghdad. Read more

db: His death is of more significance to oil traders and US/UK propagandists than the Iraqi resistance, if true. His role was always overstated, and the 'hunt' for him a useful and frequent excuse for the brutal murder of civilians by heavy handed US forces. A new focus of 'pure evil' will be required asap.

The drop in the price of crude is indicative of an oil market gone mad.
