They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Britain: Where putting out your dustbins gets you fined 50 quid

This morning I was parked up at McDonalds in Brentford, West London drinking some of their shitty coffee [Brentford resembles a moonscape - McDonalds is it] and I noticed a dustcart heading up Ealing Road with a large notice attached to the side. It read "Put your bins out on the day of collection only, otherwise you may be fined fifty pounds. So get wise".

There you have it - no more evening bin-putting-out for Brentford folk. Twelve hundred quid in local rates p.a does not buy you that right. They probably have wardens or 'community police' patrolling the streets looking for transgressors. No doubt repeat offenders will get awarded an ASBO.

Happily this doesn't effect me because 1. I am not from Brentford and 2. I usually dump my trash in the Thames [max fine twenty pounds]
