They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Abbas condemns Tel Aviv suicide bombing

ap: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv as a "terrorist attack".

Seven people, including the attacker, were killed in the blast outside a fast food restaurant in a bustling Tel Aviv commercial area.

In a statement, Abbas said the attack harms the Palestinians' national interest.

"President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the terrorist attack in the bus station in Tel Aviv that led to the killing and injury of many," his office said in a statement released by the official Wafa news agency.

Hamas official spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri called the attack "a natural result of the continued Israeli crimes against our people".

"The Israeli occupation bears responsibility for the continuation of its aggression. Our people are in a state of self-defence and they have every right to use all means to defend themselves," he added. Link
