The News

The ISI officer, whose son was involved in I-8 [district] playground fight that led to the kidnapping of a retired brigadier, his daughter-in-law and four teenagers by the agency officials, has expressed deep regrets over what had happened in the late evening on last Saturday.

Brig (retd) Muhammad Taj, who lives in street 86 of I-8/4, had confirmed to this correspondent that Maj-Gen Nusrat and his wife visited him and strongly condemned what had happened to his family and other civilians.

The General assured the victim that the ISI officer who conducted the condemnable operation was never told to do what was done. An ISI Major, it was said, was only asked to check as to who were the boys who had beaten the General's son in a playground fight. The retired brigadier has told his close relatives that he informed the visiting couple that he has nothing personal against anyone but only wants and expects that justice should be done. Link
