They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. Lebanon: BBC gets it wrong on so-called ceasefire call from UN

The BBC claims here that the UN has called for a ceasefire. But if you read the item you will be disappointed. It appears that the UN - or those calling the shots from within - do NOT want a ceasefire.

UN call for Middle East ceasefire


UN Secretary General Kofi Annan has called for urgent action from the international community to stop the violence between Israel and Lebanon.

He reiterated calls for a new international force to be deployed in the border region.

However, Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said it was too early for such a force or for an Israeli ceasefire.

But a UN envoy, who held talks with Ms Livni in Israel, described them as "intensive" and "productive". Read more
