"Don't listen to stupid citizens"
The U.S. is trying to make sure that Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other Arab states that have criticized Hezbollah for attacking Israel don't back down under pressure from their own citizens or other nations supporting the Shiite militia.
Forestalling such wavering is one of the goals of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who left for the Middle East yesterday after a White House meeting with top Saudi officials and President George W. Bush. Read more
