They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. Rice: ceasefire a 'false promise'


The US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, today ruled out a ceasefire as a solution to the conflict in the Middle East.

Ahead of her weekend trip to the troubled region, she dismissed a ceasefire - proposed by the UN secretary general, Kofi Annan, among others - as a "false promise". Read more
