Two children killed in Israel Air Force assassination
The Jerusalem Post said the car was carrying a bomb maker associated with Hamas.
Haaretz newspaper said two bomb makers were in the car. Medics say two children were passengers. One, a five year girl, was dismembered. Haaretz said the two children were in the car with their father, Eyad Abu Al-Ein, who was one of the militants killed. Two bystanders were also reportedly killed.
Commentators said the airstrike was in retaliation for the firing of two Qassam rockets on Friday in southern Israel. The rockets, which landed south of Ashkelon, caused no injuries or damage, Haaretz quoted Israel Radio as saying.
The Israel Army was also firing shells at Gaza on Friday and a separate airstrike targeted offices used by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. The offices were destroyed in the attack. A missile strike Thursday, launched from Israel Air Force helicopters damaged the office of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Link
