CIA Torture Flights "did pass through Scottish airports"

The most detailed list of suspected CIA ghost flights through Scotland, including the so-called "Guantanamo Bay Express", was last night sent to Jack McConnell ahead of a Scottish Parliament debate today on international strategy.
The dossier, compiled by an unnamed "senior aviation expert", was given to the first minister by Angus Robertson MP, the SNP's foreign affairs spokesman at Westminster.
It includes several names of alleged CIA front companies based in various states across America, details of specific aircraft they operated, and the dates when they landed at Scottish airports.
In a letter to Mr McConnell, Mr Robertson said: "More information is needed to establish whether these flights were transporting people against their will. However, this report provides important details for those who are serious about establishing whether rendition flights took place through Scotland."
The Moray MP insisted the report contained "worrying details" about the alleged intelligence flights. "The planes in question have been subject to diplomatic and parliamentary inquiries in different countries. This report establishes that they did pass through Scottish airports," he said. Read more
