They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Labour supporters of the values we are supposed to be fighting for

db: In the first of many to come, we hope, Blair has suffered a defeat in the House of Commons on the '90 days detention without charge' element of the Terrorism Bill . He is a risk taker - like his neocon friends in the US. Earlier today he said that sometimes it's better to lose and do the right thing than to win and do the wrong thing. What is even worse is to lose and do the wrong thing. Ian - the bungling Met chief - and Tony Blair thought that they could 'get away with it' - 90 was the number they thought they could sell. Bad mistake. Like Bush in the US Blair's 'capital' is fast running out.
