They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

Scott Ritter: When call for Iran sanctions fails US will play trump card - war

db: Scott Ritter told an audience in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday 18th September that the U.S. appears to be setting the stage for military action against Iran with comments made as recently as last week by Bush administration officials that Iran is pursuing a nuclear weapons program. He said that as soon as the U.S. seeks economic sanctions against the country that are sure to be vetoed by fellow Security Council members Russia and China the stage will be set for at least a bombing campaign.

"When that fails, as it will, that other trump card gets played," Ritter said. " 'If the Security Council does not impose sanctions then the Security Council has failed to protect international security and, more importantly, the security of the United States and we will not accept that.' "

"It's not George Bush," Ritter said. "It's Hillary Rodham Clinton, it's Joe Biden, it's the people who want to be president but won't back down from their decision to invade Iraq. These are the same people who will tell you we need to invade Iran."
