They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

New Orleans: S.W.A.T - please don't save me

Leonard Thomas, 23, cries after a SWAT team burst into the flooded home he and his family were living in on Monday, Sept. 5, 2005 in New Orleans, La. Neighbors had reported that they were squatting in the house in the wake of Hurricane Katrina but the authorities left after his family proved they owned the house. Some rescuers are not taking any more food and water to those who have decided to stay in an effort to force them out. Link

db: Those uniforms really help build empathy. Like I would want my grandmother rescued by some blokes toting automatic weapons and wearing reflective shades and T-shirts emblazoned with skulls and daggers. We know you guys like your macho SS style sexy clothing - but there is a time and a place - Iraq comes to mind.
