They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you. Bush - Joint News Conference with Blair - 28 July '06

BBC allege massive fraud and corruption in Iraq

Halliburton, Custer Battles, the CPA - BBC 'File on 4' have investigated allegations of a pervasive culture of corruption in Iraq, and it's findings should be explosive. However, whilst the US administration and media attack the UN regarding the oil-for-food program, the will to aggressively pursue the truth regarding these allegations, which are a little closer to home, remains surprisingly absent. The Department of Justice's decision not to play a part in the prosecution of Custer Battles - which represents 'the tip of the iceberg' - indicates a will to, rather, see the whole thing go away. People in high places are nervous. A successful prosecution of the alleged thieves and highwaymen at Custer Battles would mean that other, better connected wrong doers, would face justice.
